3-to-6 It Really Matters

Over the past decade, the time after school has become a divided pathway for many children. On one pathway, the family with the high income has their child participate in after school services or classes. The other pathway does not include parent(s) as they: work excessive hours, can’t pay for a “membership,” can’t transport their child to activities, or struggle to meet the nutrition needs of their children. The 3-to-6 program is intended to help these children gain access to these after school programs during the hours of 3pm to 6pm.

West Jordan Middle School

“As a direct result of the Ron McBride Foundation, many students spend their after school time with a caring adult with whom they are learning, playing, and connecting, strengthening their positive structure during these crucial hours that often are unsupervised. Students are at school, participating in enrichment activities.”
